Ship Security Alert System
The Pole Star Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) suite of
products are fully SOLAS XI/2-6 compliant and range from a
basic compliance system to a sophisticated SSAS management
system capable of integrating various different manufacturers'
hardware and incorporating marine charts and weather data.
Pole Star's SSAS system comprises two parts: the hardware
which sends and receives signals to the satellite, and the
web-based Purplefinder software application which displays
alerts and routes them to the correct person. The web-based
applications allow you to set, test and reset the SSAS transceiver.
It is simple to view your entire fleet and to route alert
notifications to the correct person.

Integration of existing SSAS
In response to demand from the marine industry, your existing
SSAS management system (be it a Thrane & Thrane, Furuno
or other manufacturer's hardware) can be integrated into Purplefinder.
This means that you will be able to see your entire fleet
within a single SSAS system.
