Our Principals will be contracted by Flags as their Data
Centre Administrator / Application Service Provider (ASP)
to undertake the task of connecting ships to the Flag's Data
Centre, to manage Data Centres, and to connect them to the
wider international LRIT network.
It may be that different Flags will adopt slightly different
LRIT implementation strategies. However, it is now certain
that Inmarsat C will be adopted as the main LRIT communication
system. The majority of ships affected by the regulation are
already fitted with LRIT-compatible Inmarsat C systems and
therefore no further investment should be required by most
shipowners.
